In a recent Gallup study, it was determined that Canadians watch, on average, 1.2 hours more television per week than Americans, 1.8 more per week than Australians, and a whopping 4.6 hours more per week than Germans! It was also discovered that the average Canadian home has 2.5 televisions, and that 62% of Canadian households have at least one flat-screen HD TV.
With so much TV viewing it is no small mystery, then, why television advertising in Canada is such big business. Canadian ad companies have become somewhat expert at creating funny and engaging ads, and produce not only commercials in Canada but in the US, UK, Europe and even a few in Japan, as well!
